The Gables Club House

Our clubhouse truly is unlike any other. Its sophisticated Tuscan-inspired architecture makes it look like it belongs on the cover of a magazine.

Featuring a heated indoor swimming pool and spa; relaxing indoor and outdoor living areas; and north-facing views of the Kaimai Ranges; the clubhouse acts as the vibrant central hub of The Gables. It’s also where our directors and managers offices are, and where village meetings will be held.

Contact our friendly team to arrange an appointment to tour the clubhouse, facilities, and the ongoing construction of Stage One.

The History

The house - designed by local architect, Greg Lockett - was built on the site for the Marshall family in the early 1990’s. Full of unique touches like the recycled matai floorboards from a Wellington courthouse, and solid rimu doors made from the salvaged timber of a burnt-down commercial building in Waihi, this building is brimming with character.

The Marshall's and their four children enjoyed an idyllic semi-rural lifestyle here - their dogs, cats, chickens, goats, calves, lambs, and piglets lucky enough to soak up the beautiful views and climate of the area with them.

After the youngest child left home in 2018, it was time for the couple to downsize, and the house along with the land was sold to the developers of The Gables.

Rather than demolishing the beautiful family home, we’ve refurbished it into The Gables’ unique clubhouse - meaning that residents can enjoy the tranquil, spacious facility from their very first day.
